The biggest keel boat class in Norway is the Express class. (The king of Norway is skippering one of the boats) We are currently making a Tvibit wing sail for this class. The aim is to prove to the Scandinavian sailing community that the Tvibit wing sail is faster, has a better angle of attack and has less heeling force than a conventional sail!
Peter Hoegh, one of Norways most renown independent sail makers, is partnering in on this project. Until now we have only made fat-head sails for planing boats. This will be the first time we create a conventional triangular wing sail. We are really looking forward to see how well an old design like the express performs with a state of the art wing!
